On October 3, more than 1,000 Schools Nationwide will Participate in Walk to School Day Events Sponsored by Safe Kids. This year Paris Elementary will participate with the Walking School Bus.
Safe Kids Worldwide and program sponsor FedEx created the Safe Kids Walk This Way Program in the United States to teach safe behaviors to motorists and child pedestrians and create safer, more walkable communities. Safe Kids Denver Metro works to prevent unintentional childhood injury, the number one cause of death for children in the United States. Its members include hospitals, public health organizations, parents and other caregivers, police, fire, emergency medical services agencies and others. Safe Kids Denver Metro is a member of Safe Kids Worldwide, a global network of organizations dedicated to preventing unintentional injury. Safe Kids Denver Metro was founded in 1998 and is led by Children’s Hospital Colorado. For more information, visit safekids.org.
After the Walking School Bus arrives at Paris and the school bell rings, students and staff will participate in a short outdoor assembly.
Football Friday, September 7

Bobby Lashley, Richard, Cinthia, The Boogeyman
If it is the first Friday in September it must be Football Friday. Our PE teacher, Mr. Cain, invited community member Bobby Lashley and members of his gym, American Top Team Altitude, which included the Boogeyman from the WWE to come and share their expertise in exercise with our students. Students were excited to meet our visitors and workout during their specials dong jumping jacks, sit-ups, push-ups, and relays. Our visitors were a great inspiration for many students as they tried their best. Read More from APS about this day...

Field Day, August 31
Students and staff had a great time at this years Field Day. Students enjoyed the different activities PE teacher, Mr Cain planned. Students did relays, ran the inflatable obstacle course, twirled hula hoops, jumped rope, created chalk drawings, danced, and stacked cups. It was a great day!
Paris Community Comes Together

This event sponsored by Food Bank of the Rockies, Staples, and Erica Rae's Kids helped the families in the Paris community Get Ready for a New School Year. The school staff welcomed and visited with the families as they enjoyed hot dogs and ice cream, students getting backpacks with school supplies, and families with food items for their homes. This was a special afternoon that was enjoyed by our families and community.
